Kady Ruth is a writer, comedian, and filmmaker in and around Brooklyn, NY. She's from Maryland, outside of DC, but not Silver Spring or Bethesda. She has a deep love for bluegrass and Appalachian folk music, biking, and online hair tutorials.

Her series Triffany & Briffney was an Official Selection of the New York Television festival and her pilot (she co-wrote with Alise Morales) Girl Detective Detective Agency was a semifinalist for Series Fest, Sundance Labs, and the Made in NY Writer's Room.

MILFs Don't Cry, a 30 minute play she wrote, went up at the Upright Citizen's Brigade theater in June. Keep a lookout for updates on where to see it again! In July she published a collection of poetry called MTA Love Poems.

She hosts a variety show at Bushwick Public House called The Simple Show with Jenny Nelson. It's usually the first Monday of every month.

When she mysteriously disappears one day and the detectives are searching through her room, they'll wonder how a woman who looked remarkably plain owned so much glitter makeup. She never wore this stuff, right? No, never.
